Princesses and other female protagonists are displayed with size zero waists, skinny limbs, and even small feet. Despite advances in the rhetoric on race and gender, Disney lags in advancing their portrayal of body image. These princesses become what is thought of as beautiful, and the princes become the ideal male image of handsome. Body image, however, is the one frontier that seems to lack progress. As seen in the images above, every princess has an unnaturally small waist, large breasts, fair skin, exaggerated eyes and batting eyelashes.
